Meet David

A lifelong resident of Ward 3, David Froh offers an extensive track record of community-building and is committed to helping make Regina a greater place to live, both today and in the future.

David is community leader with senior economic and community development experience having recently served as Vice President for Economic Development Regina. As current Vice President of the Regina Food Bank, he works to fight food insecurity.

David holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Regina. He is an active volunteer coaching sports in our area, and has chaired the boards of the Regina YMCA, Regina District Industry & Education, and Regina’s Warehouse Business Improvement District. He currently sits on the Board of TCU Financial Group.

David, along with his wife Ashley and children, is proud to call Regina home. His family enjoys paddling, camping, and exploring our great outdoors.

Experience & Track Record

David has a track record of leadership focused on bringing people together to build community and opportunity.

As Director of the Manufacturing, Environmental & Technology sectors with Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership David Led over 50 national and international trade missions connecting Saskatchewan exporters to markets around the world.

While serving as Vice President of Economic Development Regina (EDR), David led key files that advanced our prosperity including working with community leaders to create Protein Industries Canada, securing hundreds of millions in investment to advance the plant protein sector. David was proud to oversee the creation of Regina’s first Entrepreneurial, Agri-Value, and Manufacturing Strategies.

At the Regina Food Bank David led critical fund development and programming efforts that helped the organization address record hunger. He was proud to help lead the creation Canada’s first choice model food bank where for the first-time clients can choose the food that meets their unique cultural and dietary needs. His contribution included working with community leaders on a $5 million dollar capital campaign.

Under David’s leadership the food bank launched Farm 2 Food Bank and became a national leader partnering with the agricultural and food sector to feed more Saskatchewan people with Saskatchewan food. The program has secured millions of dollars worth of local food and partners that allow the food bank to feed over 16,000 people a month.
